Cultural Destruction

Our culture is on the brink of destruction. All it needs is a catalyst. Many news stories a lie or an exaggeration creates rage. We don’t let calm heads prevail. The media’s strategy is a react first methodology. When you react first the emotion is shown as truth even when the story itself is fake. Unfortunately, there are people on the left that view this as a moral belief. I am not speaking on a political partisan basis but only giving you the truth. My beliefs are based on what I see as the truth. My beliefs are not centered on a tribal political stance.

1 Corinthians 13:9-11 (NASB):

“For we know in part and we prophesy in part; but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things”

We need to ask ourselves a very simple question. Are we doing away with childish things? Children have an underdeveloped pre-frontal cortex. As adults we act as if we don’t have one. All our reasoning is based on emotion. We need to look at each news story objectively. First ask ourselves if we have all the information to reach a conclusion. Second, we need to determine what is the best practical solution for a problem we identify. If you look at the news you never see this.

It is morally wrong to seek to destroy anyone who has an opposing viewpoint. If we aim at truth, then people will be influenced to seek truth. When we lie to convey a manipulative emotion, you don’t care about truth. Essentially this is narcissistic. Your aim is to feel good about your involvement in a movement. Even when that movement could be a bowel movement. If you want our culture to change a soapbox is not the solution. You should require law makers to pull out their pen instead of standing on their soapbox.

A society that doesn’t put God at its forefront is doomed to fail. God is our light on the horizon. If we are drawn to the Light, we have a common end goal. If we don’t seek the Light, then we are held to our own devices. When we shout a people in private places we are not seeking God. Cursing at dissonance only creates more. When we cast out truth for our personal gain we are casting out God from our lives.

This division, without an immediate revival, is going to quickly escalate into chaos. The love of others anymore is growing extremely cold. The catalyst of destruction will be an avatar of emotion. The person that best resembles the grievances of many will take the place of that avatar. This happens constantly in world history. Avatars are worshiped instead of being analyzed on a case by case basis. If people feel happy about themselves, they don’t care who resembles that avatar. You will believe in lies because you believe only emotion is truth. Watch out for people trying to become an avatar of your emotion. They don’t care about truth and don’t care about you. In conclusion our culture needs God more then ever. If we don’t we will break apart by the seams.
