The Best Evil Looks Righteous

So, how many of you like evil? Well, it looks like you are not answering because that is a stupid question. I have another stupid question to give the readers. How many of you like things that are righteous? The answer to the first question is obviously no and the answer to the later question is evidently yes. Evil exist because we twist what is evil into what we think is righteous. Unfortunately, our society believes evil is subject to gradation. We determine for ourselves what actions create the best results. The good result that our culture teaches us is fictional and boils down to a horrible world view.

2 Corinthians 11:12-15 (NASB):

“But what I am doing I will continue to do, so that I may cut off opportunity from those who desire an opportunity to be regarded just as we are in the matter about which they are boasting. For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of lights. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.”

I believe people that boast are compensating for their misdeeds. When you live humbly you become introspective. Every action should be looked at microscopically. False apostles fail to recognize their own false teachings. The biggest word that goes thru their mind is the word, “but.” “But I give a lot to charity.” “I didn’t do the right thing, but I encourage people more then discourage.” This concept goes on with more examples then you can count. Your witness is only as good as your greatest sin. If you fail to recognize it your doing God a disservice as well as people you should witness to.

Proverbs 3:7 (NASB):

“Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.”

Being wise in your own eyes starts with a lie. That lie is that your goal is righteous therefore any action to reach that sin is justified. When the bible tells your personal actions of a sin you ignore that truth. Anything that doesn’t promote your ends looks evil to you. The truth is bent do to your ideology. If you truly fear the Lord, you will view your actions microscopically. You will make sure every action you take is in accordance with the Word of God. A lot of evil people do not believe they are doing evil. The believe that the rules in the bible don’t allow them to get to their desired result. When you truly look underneath the surface you will find that to be false.

Our society anymore teaches that our emotions are righteous. This ideology stems from one lie. The lie is that we are inherently good. Every action therefore coming from a primal emotion must be good because we are inherently good. An outside force repeatedly gets used as a straw man for horrible results of an emotional response. If something is biblically evil our emotions should not trump that truth. This world is broken and more then ever we need to cling to the Savior. You need to come to God humbly and introspective. If we don’t stop following our own truth we will be on the pathway to destruction.
