Sin is Easy and Abnormal

sin is easy and abnormal

Oops, I spoiled the ending. Sin is Easy and Abnormal. Christians sometimes don’t understand this simple concept. False doctrine easily can be created from variations of this simple phrase. For example, sin is hard and abnormal. Sin is easy and normal. Sin is hard and normal. The last example does take a lot of faith to believe. Unfortunately many people in the Church believe in these false doctrines.

Let’s start with the most obvious variation to debunk. Sin is hard and normal. This belief you must suspend reality. If the concept of sin is a normal reaction in life why would it be hard? So, if you as a Christian believe sin takes up a normal place in this world then why would it be hard to execute normal desires? If sin is natural reaction to free will then why when you are a Christian those desires are hard to execute? There is no good answers to these questions.

Let’s take on the idea that sin is easy and normal. These Christians can easily be consumed by the world. Why fight against a normal phenomenon? They start believing that they are free to sin instead of free from sin. These Christians don’t understand how destructive sin is. They are not don’t show the light in the darkness but actually need people into the darkness. Christian and non-Christians alike. Agnostics are spawned by these hypocrites. Tear apart their ideology and make sure you do this when you disciple agnostics.

Now to the anxiety inducing sin is hard and abnormal. These Christians have to concept of sin right but they don’t understand its allure. They believe once you become a Christian you should not get tempted. Ironically it is the opposite. A Christian who spreads the light of Christ is a threat to the darkness. Every time this type of Christian sins the question whether they were ever a Christian. This creates a spiral of anxiety. “I sin therefore I’m not a true Christian.” These people are stuck in the baby phase of being a Christian.

Sin is easy. Sin is easy because it is readily available and doesn’t take too much thought. Any instant where you put yourself above God sin is a quick solution. The world constantly temps you. You need to be at a church that equips you. Also you need to be in constant prayer and seek accountability to others. You need to know the bible and be able to have a defense for Christ. If sin was hard this is not necessary. Seek a church that gives you solid food.

Sin is abnormal. Sin is against the design and purpose of God. It wasn’t created as a natural phenomenon by nature. We rebelled against our creator. Jesus didn’t die for something that was normal. The cost of sin is death. That would be a ridiculous cost if it was for something that is normal. Normalcy should not be determined by the amount of people who do it. This is how cultures devolve into chaos. Sin is easy and abnormal. If we don’t recognize that as Christians we are in big trouble.
